​​Shluchim Girls Fly For Graduation

8th graders from the American and European divisions of the Nigri Shluchim Online School gathered in NY for their 3-day school graduation trip.

Joining together from all over the United States, including New Mexico, Oklahoma, Illinois, California, Florida, and the Tri-State area, as well as from other countries around the world, the group of 23 girls enjoyed a packed graduation trip.

Upon arrival, each girl received a sweatshirt that they had all designed and voted on together.

The three day program included a handwriting analysis workshop by graphologist Chani Blotner over waffles and ice cream, snow tubing at Shawnee Mountain, a tour of Manhattan with views of the city skyline from the roof deck of the Empire State Building and dining at a Manhattan restaurant – a real highlight for girls living in remote places where that kosher restaurants are a rarity. As G.O. of their school, they went to record their theme song all together at Benshimon Studios.

“Nothing like spending time with all my classmates in real life, having such a fun time. There are literally no words I can use to describe it and to tell you how amazing and awesome it was,” said Sara Levertov, a student from Santa Fe, New Mexico.

In Crown Heights, the girls davened at 770 and participated in a tour of JEM and the Shluchim Office.

The highlight of the graduation trip was the girls all preparing and then going to the Ohel together as a graduating class. Organizers explained to the girls how each year the Rebbe would have a special yechidus klolis for the girls who were graduating.

“Everything was top notch – from the food to the trips to the activities. Nothing less than the best for the graduates of the Shluchim Online School,” said one of the organizers.

The Shluchim Office thanked Rabbi Moshe and Mrs. Faige Rubashkin for their generous hospitality and kindness in hosting the girls at their home during the three-day trip, and Leah Olidort and Shternie Shemtov for organizing the program.
