Chabad of Berlin, Germany, led by Rabbi Yehuda Tiechtel, has opened a center to cater to the Israeli population of the city.
Israel’s Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger affixed the mezuzah in an emotional ceremony, along with other Rabbis and Shluchim from throughout Germany.
According to the Israeli consulate’s statistics, over 13,000 Israelis currently live in Germany.
Directed by Rabbi Yehuda Teichtel, the center will be manned by the students in the local Semicha program.
And Aunt Leah! your indefatigable efforts to bring Yiddeshkeit into the heart of Berlin never cease to inspire us. May you have much nachas always.
May Hashem bless all of the dedicated Shluchim with parnassa and nachas!
