my father b.1921 also didn’t have a bar mitzva because of the depression it was very hard times B”H like you he had one in his 80’s. Mazel Tov Mazel Tov to you . may you go from strength to strength in yourlearning and avodas Hashem.. the angels are singing

i thought tha a bar / bas mitzvah is not a thing rather it celebrates the transition to being old enough to be held responsible for ones choices and actions.
to say he put on tefillin for first time at 89… would be more accurate.

what a great family. great rabbi. BUT, behind every successful man stands an even more successful woman. If you know the rabbi, get to know his wife! she is an AMAZING person. open home, open heart. has time and room for everyone and everthing. The Krasnanskis are a true example of devoted shluchim.
