In honor of Chof Beis Shevat, a new song has been released for women and girls to connect with Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka and internalize her legacy.
Chaya Liba Rimler of Pomona, New York composed the tune and lyrics last year for the 32nd (“לב”) Yahrtzeit of the Rebbetzin.
This year, in honor of the 33rd Yahrtzeit, she is releasing it to the public. The vocals are sung by local Monsey students Chava Morgenstern, 15; Miri Liberow, 12; and Perel Rimler, 8.
In regard to the Rebbetzin, the Rebbe frequently referred to the importance of “Vehachai Yiten El Libo”, “and the living should take to heart” (Koheles 7:2). It is up to the living to carry on the mission of a soul that has returned to the higher worlds. Click here to hear the Rebbe speaking about this concept.
FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS ONLY (Kol Isha): Women and girls may access this song here on Youtube or on Soundcloud.

LYRICS
If I could write you just one letter
I don’t know what I’d say
With these volumes of time
Standing in the way
I wonder what you’d answer
If I’d tell you, words aflow
Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka,
There’s so much I want to know
I know so many stories
Of the kind words you would say
How I wish I could see you
To speak with you today
All my life I’ve been here hoping
That you’re watching from afar
Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka,
Somehow, I know you are
CHORUS:
We will tell all of your stories
We will sing a million songs
VeHachai Yiten El Libo
We will take to heart
All the milestones we reach
Every goal that we fulfill
We’re doing it together
With us, you’re living still
Once, the doctor told you
That you’d need, without delay
To head to the hospital
For testing right away
You responded that you wouldn’t
That day you would stay home
You pleaded that your husband
The Rebbe should not know
For so many Chassidim
For Yud Shvat Yechidus came
You did not want your pain
To cause them all to wait
Once you found a Bochur standing
One chilly day outside your home
You came out with some gloves
You said, “My son cannot be cold!”
[Repeat chorus]
When asked why you didn’t have
Any children in your home
Your response always was
“The Chassidim are my own”
Did you know that one day,
Little girls would bear your name
Your candle handed over
Your flame
[Repeat chorus]
