The Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Bikur Cholim of Crown Heights’ Annual Breakfast for women will be taking place on Sunday, on May 21, to honor the community and applaud volunteers.
The Annual Breakfast supports Bikur Cholim’s critical mission of assisting those struggling with medical crises. The events and celebrates the neighborhood’s dedication to helping Bikur Cholim in its vital work.
Attendees will be treated to a delicious breakfast spread, prepared and set up by talented Bikur Cholim volunteers and events planner Chanie Greenbaum.
The morning will be emceed by Mrs. Naomi Pinson and feature renowned speaker and Shlucha, Mrs. Chanie Perelmutter of California.
A key address will be presented by Mrs. Toby Brikman, a Crown Heights resident who recently lost her husband R’ Mendel Brikman OBM. She will speak about the history of Bikur Cholim.
During the event, prize winners will be drawn for their Chinese Auction. Prizes include a Zelda Wig, necklace from Laine Jewelers, a restaurant package, $1000 to Everything But the Baby, a designer bag of your choosing, and a kids package. Get tickets at BikurcholimCH.org.
The work of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Bikur Cholim is varied and reaches into all facets of community life. From home-cooked meals for families with a parent in the hospital to postpartum care and help around the house, they are there night and day, for men, women, and children of all ages.
Regardless of the request, their volunteers respond with utmost care – be it a one-day crisis or one that stretches out over months – in the same way that they would be there for their own family.
