85 Shluchim at Brazil Kinus

85 Chabad Shluchim from around Brazil gathered this week for their annual regional kinus where they discussed pressing matters and strengthened spirits.

The 2 day conference was held on Monday and Tuesday in S. Paulo and organized by Rabbi Shabsi Alpern, Head Shliach and Director of Beit Chabad Central.

Workshops on chassidus, education, organization management, better utilizing the web and social media were give by Rabbi Alpern, Rabbi Dovid Weitman, Rechovot Rabbi Mendel Gluckowsky and Moshe Rosenberg of Chabad.org.

The kinus concluded in a gala banquet attended by councilman Floriano Pesaro who signed a declaration pronouncing 11 Nissan, the day the Rebbe was born, as Education Day for the city of S. Paulo.

The emcee was Rabbi Dani Eskinazi, the evening was opened by Mr. Daniel Citron, Vice President of Beit Chabad Central and Tehillim by Rabbi Yehoshua B. Goldman, the Shliach in Rio de Janeiro and Rabbi Yossi Schildkraut, the Shliach in Itaim.

Speeches were heard from Rabbi Alpern and Rabbi Zalman Slonim and concluded in a night long chassidic farbrengen with Rabbi Gluckowsky.
