Alaska Dispatch, Alaska’s online news source, published its first photobook “The Places We’ve Gone,” including images from the first chassidic wedding in the The Last Frontier state.
With photographs by Loren Holmes, the magazine carried an image taken moments after the chuppah of the Lubavitch couple R’ Levi and Mushky Glitsenstein.
The wedding was covered by local news channels and papers, and Channel 2 KTUU’s video documentary of the wedding was widely circulated, making a huge Kiddush HaShem, noted Mushky ‘s father Rabbi Yosef Greenberg, Director of Chabad of Alaska.
Another images showed children playing in the lobby of the hotel in downtown Anchorage during the wedding, while a chossid stands by the well, davening Shmone Esre.
The couple also received a congratulatory letter on the wedding which was personally signed by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama which was delivered by U.S. Senator Mark Begich, a personal friend of the family.
