13 new police officers who have just begun their jobs at the 71st Precinct in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, joined a training day with Rabbi Yossi Rapp, community activist and Director of ChabadAir.
The new officers were briefed on the basics of Jewish life, such as Shabbos and Yom Tov, and toured the large 770 Shul, schools, and other locations in the neighborhood. They were briefed on Jewish customs and halacha and were made aware of issues and sensitivities that arise in the Jewish community and the Crown Heights neighborhood specifically.
At the WLCC offices at Chabad Headquarters, the officers were given a tour by R’ Yonasan Hackner on the history and background of the room.
