The evil inclination comes up with all sorts of distractions to try to take a person away from the service of Hashem.
The Talmud teaches that when Iyov challenged Hashem as to why he made it so difficult to serve Him, Hashem answered that “I Created an evil inclination, and created Torah as its antidote”.
