Since the first Kinus Hashluchim convention in New York in 5744, the Melave Malka has been one of the central events of the gathering.
This year, to accommodate the many Shluchim who participate from around the world, organizers held the evening at the Palace hall in Boro Park.
The meal was emceed by Rabbi Naftali Rot, a veteran Chabad official in Jerusalem who had led this part of the evening for some 33 years.
It was opened with a Dvar Malchus repeated by Rabbi Yoel Kahn, the preeminent Chabad scholar and the Rebbe‘s head ‘choizer’ of his teachings.
The main part of the evening was dedicated to marking 30 years since the Didan Notzach case of freeing the Rebbe’s library.
Two of the main players of that case and central figures in Chabad were invited to speak: Rabbi Avraham Shemtov, Chairman of the Agudas Chassidei Chabad International and Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch.
Heartwarming words were also shared by Minnesota Head Shliach Rabbi Moshe Feller and Rabbi Moshe /Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos.
In a third part of the evening, emceed by Rabbi Avrohom Sternberg of Connecticut, sons paid tribute to their late fathers who were from the early trailblazing generation of Shluchim.

Has a video been posted online and of the videos shown that evening?
