Shadchanim.

I don’t think there is any such as a good or bad shadchan.
I do believe that sometimes a shadchan has a soft spot for the person they are working for and that is a gr8 help.
We definately need to have a lot of Mazel with the shadchanim who are working for us.

Shadchanim.

In my opinion all shadchanim need to put a lot more time & effort into making shidduchim. If they are overwhelmed by young girls/bochurin & or parents of these young people calling and they cant cope with calls then they should have some1 to represent the shadchan that is able to take calls/ make calls & send emails etc which would be a big help. No 1 that calls the shadchan should be made to feel that they are a nuisance. OFCOURSE WE ALWAYS APPRECIATE ALL THE TIME & EFFORT THAT THE SHADCHAN PUT INTO EVERY SUGGESTION. THANK U TO… Read more »

Mrs sheindel blasberg! Amazing shadchanit!

Dubov is amazing
February 9, 2014 1:23 pm

He’s incredibly sincere and really takes the time to listen to each persons situation before giving advice. He’s made tons of shidduchim and helped tons more through counseling. A huge chance to hear it from a Rabbi who knows what he’s talking about. And he’s not a typical “shadchan” (shidduchim he makes are by hashgacha pratis, not because he’s in it for the money) so you know you’re getting unbiased info. Seriously, go to the event, or better yet, talk to him one on one, you won’t regret it.

Let’s give credit to the first group, adaiad.org that pioneered these shidduchim courses for both girls and guys.

I think a great idea would be to post shadchanim’s names and thier phone numbers, what area they specialize in, and how well they help people and are accessible, a rating system

It’s actually correct since its referring to the singular process of matchmaking and not multiple matches, as you’re suggesting. Your Beis Rivkah education is showing in both your need to correct others on trivial matters and your general ignorance of English usage and style.

how about the simplest of questions & those asked by older singles?
February 8, 2014 8:20 pm

Questions such as why are shadchanim demanding upfront money to lift a finger why are older singles being ignored & why aren’t Shadchanim doing their jobs in many cases altogether?

grammar mistake
February 8, 2014 7:23 pm

the first item on the projection behind rabbi Dubov should read “what ARE shidduchim” – not “what IS shidduchim.” use the word “is” for things that are singular, use the word “are” for things that are plural. Shidduchim is more than one shidduch. Maybe it should say “what is a shidduch” or something else.
