Rabbi Gavriel Zinner, one of the most sought-after halachic experts and author of the 30 volume Nitei Gavriel series, has visited the Yeshiva Gedola Rabbinical College of Greater Miami in Florida on Sunday.
Rabbi Zinner was warmly welcomed by the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Leibel Schapiro and the mashgiach Rabbi Benzion Korf.
The distinguished posek began with giving a shiur on tractate Bava Metzia in Gemara which the bochurim were now studying. He then continued with discussing the opinion of the Alter Rebbe in Hilchos Hatmana in the laws of Shabbos.
Then, on a lighter note, Rabbi Zinner shared a story he personally heard first-hand from a frum woman living in the chassidic village of New Square in New York.
He said the women, single at the time, had a dream one night about the Rebbe telling her not to marry a frum man she was looking into regarding a shidduch.
Rabbi Zinner said the woman decided to visit the Rebbe’s Ohel gravesite in Queens and daven for continued guidance.
Upon leaving, the woman met a person who personally knew the proposed shidduch and recommended against it since the man was not an honest person.

To find something like that out in advance! That’s the kind of thing a lot of people won’t say figuring “someone else will tell them” or “they’ll figure it out on their own”… unfortunately a few weeks’ dating isn’t always enough time to figure such a thing out, and the girl/bochur might now know how to pick up signs…
