By all accounts, a simcha in Moscow tends to be a community affair.
The Bar Mitzvah of Tzviki Rozenson held at the Marina Roscha Synagogue and Jewish Community Center in Russia’s capital city last week was no different.
It began with a musical production inspired by the music video of 8th Day Band’s most famous Yaalili, in which members of the Chabad community sang and danced about the upcoming simcha.
And it continued with the synagogue hall being filled with friends and guests coming to celebrate with the proud father, David Rozenson, Executive Director of the Avi Chai Foundation in the Former Soviet Union and his family.
Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar, the “Leningrad tzaddik” Rabbi Yitzchak Kogan, the local Shluchim and many other community leaders were present.
A surprise was the appearance of Jewish music superstar Avraham Fried, who flew in from New York and was accompanied by French musician Yosef Barmi, leading the crowd to joyous dance.
