Kiryas Joel residence, in Orange County, NY, held its annual traditional bonfire Sunday night to mark the Jewish holiday of Lag Baomer.
The celebration was attended by tens of thousands of Satmar Chasidim from all parts of New York.
As Satmar Rebbe, Rabbi Aron Teitelbaum ascended the platform and lit the bonfire using a large torch, masses of Chasidim were dancing in the streets.
Similar bonfires are held in many Jewish communities, but Kiryas Joel’s is said to be by far the largest such celebration in the United States.
Among the joyous nigunim heard playing were 2 Chabad nigunim:
Hatikva’s author put tefillin on his dog and had it run through the street. fact.
Lihyot am chofshi means chofshi from torah and mitzvos. fact.
Chabad is not Zionist either. Look at the letters of the Rashab. Fact.
The Rebbe melech hamoshiach was a talmid of the Minchas Elozar. Fact.
There are a lot of people in lubavitch today that need to get their shita on Zionism straight. fact.
that is why we don’t sing it either…
Hatikva when you go to eretz yisroel (not israel) you should go sing and dance and thank satmar and all chasidim who are protecting you and the soldiers with tora and chassidus
A lot to learn but if you pick up one lesson and see the achdus that would be amazing
Let them play HaTikvah next time.
So that when Satmar goes to Israel, they’ll appreciate the protection given to them by the soldiers and police.
and there were 7:
1 & 2) both Tzama Lecha Nafshi’s
3) Ki anu amecha
4) hoyshia es amecha
5)Tzemach Tzedek’s niggun
6) v’chol karnei rishaim
7) Darkicha
