With sadness we inform you of the passing of Madame Rivka Agi, of Lyon, France.
She turned 84 on Chanukah.
She was the earliest baalas Teshuva of the Shluchim in Lyon, France, and a strong pillar of the Chabad community in Lyon.
Madame Agi was well known for her staunch commitment to yiddishkeit and her love for reciting tehillim at every given opportunity. She was reciting tehillim in her final moments of consciousness, right before suffering a fatal stroke.
Madame Agi was a loyal friend and generous supporter of the Chabad mosdos.
She is survived by her children Mr. Yosef Agi, Los Angeles, Dr. Elisheva Sputz, Montreal, Rachel Benshemoun, Lyon, Sara Matagrin, Lyon, Dr. Hanna Danielle Agi, Lyon, and many grandchildren.

She did much more in her life than give money to Chabad and become a baalas tshuva. She was a strong willed, independent woman, well before her time. She ran her own curtain shop for 40 years, with her clients including the royal family of Saudi Arabia. Her own family always came first for her, and even if the crown prince wanted his curtains today, if she was supposed to see her grandchildren, she would tell the prince to come back tomorrow.
