Religion Banned from Prisons

The American Civil Liberties Union - ACLU says that the Bureau Of Prisons is attempting to illegally ban religious books, including Maimonides' "Code of Jewish Law," and says that the proposed rule would restrict prisoners' religious freedom. Full Story

what kind of jail is this anyway? it doesnt look the guys are too uncomfortable? and even if the bochurim came to visit the m and give tehm chizuk why in the world would these inmates want their faces plastered over this website? and why in the world would they allow a collive photographer take pics of them and out them on here? adn t o#10- which first pic? the one with all of them wearing ferdoras? yea i must admit that it is really weird!!!!!!!!

When Sholom Ber Lipskar (Alef/Shul Bal Harbour) brought a group on inmates to the Rebbe for a Farbrengen, the Rebbe asked that the pictures not be published so not to embarass the inmates. Ask SB Lipskar before posting a picture like this (especially since it was taken by YG when he went under Alef to prisons)

Bochurim (such as myself) do try to visit religious people, but some or many are to embarrassed to appear, e.g. Megillah reading (some rather read it themselves in their cells), etc.

I visited a prison near Canada and they we’re regretful (some obviously didn’t do anything wrong..)
