I am one of many who were truly blessed to know and be befriended by Rebbitzin Gordon and her illustrious husband Reb Shalom, of Maplewood New Jersey. They were an exemplary couple whose example of erlichkeit , ahavas yisroel and humility made them pillars of the community and beyond. Now together they will both be sorely missed, but their unique legacy and good deeds lives on in their children and grandchildren.
Rabbi M. Gordon did NOT leave after his daughters chuppa; I have just come back from the wedding, it was a most beautiful, chassidishe lebedik, wedding B”H, and Rabbi Gordon was there till the very very end of it; He leaves tomorrow morning for his mothers levaya iyh, r”l. He did not allow the situation to mar the simcha of the entire wedding.May he only go on simchas from now on, and may Hashem comfort him for his loss;
I know I say this for all of the former “Maplewoodians” from NJ. Rabbi and Rebbetzin Gordon of blessed memory will ALWAYS be our beloved Rabbi and Rebbetzin. They have NO EQUALS. I know every time I go to the Ohel I speak with Rabbi Gordon, and now I’ll probably speak with Mrs. Gordon too. I dare say other baalabatim,(baalabustas), talmidim and talmidos do the same. Their influence is forever, because our children have been influenced by them as well. Mrs. Gordon was a great educator, and stood with Rabbi Gordon every step of the way. She will be missed.… Read more »

Bubbie Gordon was an exception neshamah who will be sorely missed. Always encouraging, with a kind but straight word. May her neshamah have an Aaliyah with the nashamahs of the Tzadikim in the upper Gan Eden…
May her family be comforted with the mourners of Yerushalayim. May they only know simchas and goodness.
