On the second night of Pesach 1967, at 1:40 AM, the Rebbe presented the incredible Dayanu Maamar. In honor of Yud-Alef Nissan, Rabbi YY Jacobson taught the discourse.
As was the tradition, following the second Pesach Seder, in the wee hours of the morning, the Rebbe would come down to the shul and conduct a fabrengen for a few hours, explaining the Haggadah and saying a maamar.
This powerful Maamar explains the secret of some of the strange “Dayenu’s” which are difficult to comprehend. It explores three states of consciousness: the egoic mind, the death of ego, and the fusion of ego and egolessness.
The Rebbe goes on to explain the secret of Reb Akiva’s Dayenu message, and how we know when Moshiach is here, when Tzaddikim begin to experience Teshuvah.
