I studies Chumash & Rashi in his cheder in Chicago ,the mid to late forties,The Stories and Z’miroes during Shloash Sedah,etc made an everlasting impression on me.

G-d never goes against Himself. There isn’t doubt in my mind, heart and soul about His eternal live truth in living people who share it with Him under His blessing.

Rav Meisels survived the Holocaust and eventually made his way to Chicago. In 1955, he published a sefer, Makdishei HaShem containing Halachic responsa from the Holocaust, as well as his own reflections and the poignant episode decribed in this essay.

I know his children, Rabbi Miesels, and they are wonderful people. His daughter came to my daughters wedding in OT! Where did you get this story? Rabb Miesels was my brothers mohel as well.
