Here is what a COLlive fan wrote us:
Coby is a camper in Bunk Gimmel of Gan Menachem Day Camp. His mother had a baby boy this week and the Bris will be on Shabbos.
He went to Dovid Malka to eat lunch and set up shop right outside the takeout store.
He said he ate there because he was very hungry and his mommy told him that it isn’t chassidish to eat when he’s walking in the street.
People were stopping and taking pictures of him. You should’ve seen it, everyone was smiling and liked his idea to eat there.
When he was done, Coby bentched out loud and whoever was around answered “Amen.”
Keep em coming this kid is a STAR!
its actually might even be against shulchan aruch to eat in street.
and everyone else should!
Don’t question or put down other peoples parenting skills. Call not eating in the street whatever you wish and let them be. Such a cute kid and so pure!
He is so cute I answered amen to his brocha!
Unfortunately i did not hav a phone on me so …
I could not really take a pic of him!
it’s never to late..

This is very cute and the parents can shep a lot of nachas. im just wondering why this is called “chassidish”? I would call it eidel. I dont see what it has to do with chassidishkeit. Someone who learns mussar would do the same.

I had a 15 yr old bochur staying at my house for gimmel Tamuz, who asked if he could eat what he bought at Mendy’s, in my kitchen. When I asked out of curiosity why he didn’t eat it at Mendy’s, he said he was told it was not proper for a bochur to eat in a restaurant!
What a cute child with a wonderful idea!
