Personal Request from Rabbi Simon Jacobson

Dear friend,

A wake-up call like this comes but once in a lifetime. The current global disruption of virtually every sector of society, upending our lives – our work, our homes, our families, our summer plans – has driven billions of people inward. As our outer lives are shaking with uncertainty, we have been seeking out emotional and spiritual strength and courage like never before.

I am proud to share with you that – as promised in my personal letter written just as the pandemic broke – we have risen to the occasion. In these challenging and uncertain times, we have provided an unprecedented flow of programs to address the fears, concerns and difficulties of people across the globe – from first responders to community leaders, from parents to educators, from students, teenagers to children. We helped people navigate the upheavals by offering hope, clarity, direction, and above all love and care.

From the moment the havoc began, we have produced over 250 (!) new programs, empowering over 450,000 souls. Frankly, looking back, I can’t tell you how we pulled it off; all I know is that with God’s help I am privileged to have a team who threw themselves into this work with their hearts and souls, and didn’t rest – despite the personal challenges every one of us faced – in creating pioneering and dynamic programs and events for men, women and children of every background.

This is just the beginning. We have merely scratched the surface of what can be done. We now have the opportunity to literally transform the world.

“You have been a lifeline to me” is the moving expression I hear from so many people. We are therefore launching the Meaningful Lifeline Fundraising Campaign to support and expand our ongoing work.

I am asking you to please partner with me and my team in providing people everywhere with this vital lifeline of emotional and spiritual empowerment. Together let us use this historic wake-up call to create a vision for tomorrow. You and I now can truly tip the scales and transform these days into personal and global redemption.
