Hi Boys and Girls! Welcome back to the Parsha Studio!
In this week’s Parsha, we learn about some interesting new laws regarding how the Jewish people go out to war. One of the laws prohibits cutting down fruit trees of the enemy. The Torah teaches us not to destroy useful items for no reason, even in the heat of war.
We can apply this lesson into our daily lives through the concept of “Baal Tashchis,” which emphasizes the importance of minimizing waste and finding ways to benefit others by repurposing good food, clothing, or toys. This involves being mindful of minimal waste and finding creative ways to repurpose items in a way that benefits others.
In this week’s Parsha, we delve into the specific laws about warfare. We will embark on a creative papercraft project by constructing a miniature Eretz Yisrael town that is encircled by abundant trees. Through the art of decoupage, we will meticulously cut, paste, and adorn our mini town with captivating 3-D stickers to bring it to life with a striking three-dimensional effect.
