In honor of the 120th birthday of the Rebbe on Yud Aleph Nissan, Ohr Elchonon Mesivta in Los Angeles accomplished over 50,000 Hachlotos as a Mataneh to the Rebbe.
In a 5-month Mivtzah, each bochur with the help of a shliach took on unique personal Hachlotos to be done every day.
With iPads mounted in the Mesivta halls an online Duch was filled out every day, recording all 150 bochurims’ progress.
The Mivtza officially concluded right before Yud aleph Nissan accomplishing over a tremendous 50,000 Hachlotos.
A grand event was held in the Moshe Ganz hall as a finale to the program, celebrating the bochurim’s incredible achievement as well as a hachana to Yud Aleph Nissan. A special thank you to Rabbi Moshe Goldman for letting the Mesivta use the hall for free.
The event began with Each bocher writing a personal Duch/report to the Rebbe detailing all the Hachlotos that were done through the past few months.
As well as being an uplifting and empowering gathering the event also included a whopping 120 prizes that were raffled off in a Chinese auction.
Each bochur had a varying amount of tickets depending on how many Hachlotos were carried through. With so many chances to win, more than half the bochurim received some sort of prize.
The Rosh Mesivta addressed the bochurim, describing how the Rebbe demands from each bochur that they give it their all and how this is the ultimate empowerment.
Yudi Cohen, a bochur from Shiur Aleph spoke about how the Mivtza deeply affected his day-to-day life and the importance to keep the Hachlotos going even though the Mivtza is not officially running.
A video was shown and a Shliach also spoke in line with the same idea of continuing the Hachlotos. A grand photo was taken and a special Rebbe picture was given out to all the Bochurim who committed to keeping up their Hachlotos.
The Mivtzah was generously sponsored by Osher and Rivkah Karnowsky in memory of their son Hotomim Shmuel obm. A few words were shared about Shmuel concluding with a Bracha that in the zchus of all the Hachlotos and added mitzvahs we should all be reunited with all of Klal Yisroel in Ir Hakodesh led by the Rebbe.
The action was climaxed with the raffling of a Rebbe dollar received from the Rebbe’s holy hand.
After spontaneous dancing, the Bochurim left the event, proud of their achievements as well as confident that they would be continuing to grow and give the Rebbe Nachas.

Wow, incredible shluchim.
Wow that’s insane what gift for the rebbe
