The details are revealed in the latest Agent Emes film adventure, “The One that Got Away”, which was released last week exclusively on DVD, and is now available for purchase, online or in stores.

This latest movie by Leibel Cohen and his non-profit production house, The Jewish Media Development Center, was the culmination of a very busy week. Cohen also finished principal photography on the next Agent Emes film, tentatively entitled “Riding on a Donkey”.

The tremendously popular and innovative series, which Cohen conceived of and introduced in 2003, follows the exploits of a pre-teen secret agent who battles Aveiros International as they attempt to disrupt the Jewish people from fulfilling their mission as Hashem’s Chosen People.

Agent Emes is kosher entertainment at its finest; appealing to a broad spectrum of fans, across a variety of Jewish communities; both frum and not (yet). Kids love the series for its wacky characters and offbeat humor, and adults appreciate it for the Torah insights it imparts in unusual and effective ways.

The latest release has Matti Wechsler playing the title character, but the film which Cohen just finished shooting (number 13), and which will be released this Fall, will feature a new boy in the role, Cohen’s youngest son, Mendy Cohen.

“Longtime fans know that my son Sholom Ber Cohen played the first Agent Emes,” says Cohen. “It looks like we’ve come full circle with Mendy. He’s actually a year younger than Ber was when he started, but I was proud of the way he held up over the ten arduous days of filming. Hopefully, he’ll talk to me again one day.”

Agent Emes is designed both entertains and educates; exploring Torah themes as they appear in both Niglah and Chassidus. The newest release examines idol worship and how it still expresses itself in our time and also touches on the battle between the yetzer tov and the yetzer hora, with lively and amusing depictions of the concept.
