It is with great excitement that we present you with our first song in honor and in the spirit of Purim 2012/5772.
It all happened during a typical Night Owls “Late night–early early AM hours” jam session at the newly revamped ALIYA Studios when a few musical ideas were put together–and some magic happened!
It began with an original melody by acoustic guitarist and lead vocalist, Moishe Borenstein. We tacked on some rhymin’ & rappin’ by our co-vocalist, Menachem Silverstein. It was then “spruced up” with some really cool electric guitar riffs by Shaul Nemtzov, accompanied by an array of piano and synthesizer voices by Dovid Joseph, on the keyboards—and The Purim Song was created!!
Also featured are: Berel Levy, rhythm guitar, Dovber Gurewicz, bass guitar and Moshe Sobel, drums/percussion.
Special thanks to Mendel Weinstein, who jammed with us on the Roland TD-4 electric drums for hours on end, in developing the song and perfecting it for recording. Thank You!
An extra special thank you to Drummer/Percussionist, Moshe Sobel, for greatly assisting us in the recording and production of our song!
And of course “last but not least” Rabbi Moishe Feiglin, the heart and soul of ALIYA, without you this project would have never happened– Thank You So Very Much!!
Enjoy the song, and Happy Purim!!

Very nice I dont wanna be the guy knocking – but please don’t “drink till you fall down” It is not cool to get “trashed” or “wasted” or smoke anything. You will eventually realize how much trouble these “experiences” can cause so if your younger and have not done these things yet – please don’t. Just say no. You will be making a wise choice. You can always find a healthy way to relax and let loose. Otherwise this song is great – and making music and starting a band is in itself a beautiful and healthy outlet – so… Read more »
