Israeli singer and songwriter Yishai Lapidot recently performed for patients in the Grabski Multiple Sclerosis Center in Migdal HaEmek and was extremely touched.
To date, the center built and run by the Colel Chabad charity is Israel’s only dedicated in and out-patient center for victims of Multiple Sclerosis and other similar neurological diseases.
“I thought Chabad mainly has Chabad Houses, and was glad to learn that humanitarian causes are no less important to them,” commented Lapidot of “Oif Simches” fame.
50 residents of the center, directed by Rabbi Zev Crombie, enjoyed the performance by Lapidot and musician Shai Barak, singing Jewish classics and contemporary songs.
“During the summer I always sing for non-profits and organizations, but an institution such as this I have never seen,” Lapidot added and thanked his friend Davidi Crombie, son of the center’s Director, for making the visit possible.
