The Hakhel Boutique Auction Melave Malka is taking place Motzei Shabbos, 28 Teves, January 21 at United Lubavitcher Yeshiva, 570 Crown Street. Doors open at 8:30 pm and the program begins at 9:15 pm.
The evening is dedicated in loving memory of Chaya Sarah Malka bas Reuven Yehuda – Sarah Goldberg a”h, by her friends and family.
Keynote speaker this year is Malka Abelev, an alum of Machon L’Yahadus and currently Student Engagement Coordinator for Chabad at Penn State. The story continues as Malka turns over the floor to current student Liba Rivkah Boss, who met Malka at Penn State.
Rabbi Shmueli Tiechtel, together with his wife Chana, had a huge impact on Malka’s Jewish journey at Chabad of ASU. Rabbi Tiechtel shared, “We are blessed that our students have Machon L’Yahadus, a wonderful Yeshiva where they can go and learn, grow and discover their true potential.
“We have seen first-hand the impact of Machon L’Yahadus. It is truly a place for Jewish girls from college backgrounds to connect to Hashem and His Torah, to the Rebbe and Chassidus, to themselves, to the Jewish community and to reveal their Neshomos in a wonderful way.”
Another high-point of the evening will be live music with saxophonist Sara Avigayil Baum and bass player Dana Pestun – both alum, and Mirele Rosenberger. As well, current students Sofa Geula Yoffee and Nadia Gold will delight the crowd singing specially chosen songs. It’s going to be a musical performance you don’t want to miss!
