Mitzvos for Israel at Rutgers

In light of the current situation in Israel in recent days, and following the Rebbe’s call during the 1967 War – to add in Mitzvos, specifically reaching out and putting on Tefillin with Jews who would otherwise not – Bochurim from the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, NJ, headed out this Friday to Rutgers University, together with the “Rutgers Jewish Outreach” program of Chabad HQ of New Jersey.

Over 25 students came out and put on Tefillin, said Shema and a prayer for our brothers and sisters in Israel.

3 students celebrated a Bar Mitzva for Israel with laying Tefillin for the first time.

30 sets of Shabbos candles were given out, in addition to other popular Mivtzoim leaflets and brochures.
