This year, Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch of Montreal arranged a Grand Chanukah Hakhel Presentation for the students and parents of the community.
The program began with a grand play performed by the boys of Grade 3, directed and produced by their teacher, Rabbi Zalman Hendel.
Following a speech by the Principal, Rabbi Vaisfiche, the boys enjoyed watching the official debut of the Temimim Boys Choir! The choir was conducted by Rabbi Avraham Chaim Cohen, and musical accompaniment by Mendel Junik.
The program continued with a talent show featuring various talents from our Talmidim. Some boys did acrobatics, juggling acts, magic tricks, and played musical instruments.
“BH we have many talented Talmidim in our Yeshiva, and this event gave them an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the entire community.” said Assistant Principal R’ Zalman Berkowitz.
The boys were then addressed by Montreal Borough Mayor Russell Copeman who came to join the event and wished the crowd a “Happy Chanukah!”
The program concluded outdoors with a grand Menorah lighting by the Mayor in front of the Yeshiva. The weather was beautiful and drew a large crowd.
Special thanks to Rabbi Dovid Cohen for organizing the outdoor menorah lighting, and Mrs. Rochel Gurkow, a parent and educator, for helping to arrange this event.

Yasher koach!
Thank you to Rabbi Hendel for all your hard work with Grade 3. Putting on this play really gave such a boost to our boys! Thank you for all your efforts!
G-d bless Rabbi Dovid Cohen!
It’s amazing to see how the new assistant principle Reb Zalman Berkowitz arranged this exciting event in such a short amount of time. This is besides all the other exciting programs etc. that he has initiated in our Yeshiva since he was given this position only a few weeks ago.
Keep it up Reb Zalman, You should go ‘mechayel el chayil’ with much Hatzlocho. The parents and staff of the Yeshiva are very thankful to you and the Rebbe is having much Nachas from your devotion and hard work.
Rabbi Vaisfiche is the glue that keeps our yeshiva together. We love and support you. Keep it up!
