One family. One father. One hour.
It’s the slogan, but also the description for an upcoming “Achdus Farbrengen” that will unite the Chabad community in Crown Heights in honor of Gimmel Tammuz.
A group of private individuals, not representing any particular local organization, are being assisted by bochurim and high school girls in coordinating this event.
COLlive.com has learned that in order to keep the program neutral and welcoming to everyone, there will be no speeches at the event.
“There will be no program,” a person involved said. “Only niggunim and a full video of a farbrengen with the Rebbe.”
The 71st Precinct of the NYPD has already been contacted and has given the green light to hold the large event closing off all of Eastern Parkway.
The event is expected to draw thousands of all ages and is scheduled for Monday, June 10, from 8:30pm – 9:30pm.
The real Achdus and only achdus will be when Everyone proclaims YECHI together- B”Ish Echad Blev Echad”- Then the Rebbe will be revealed.

in the article it says that they are closing off the entire prkw. and the pic is only half of it…. i think COL should put up a pic. with the entire prkw. closed off.
it is a big thing to close off the prkw. and you need a lot of people i am sure we will all see to be there!
To make something like this together i am sure that many months days and hours was put in to this. Kol Hakovoed. so us as Chassidim (= one family) of the Rebbe (= one father) will all make sure to be there for one hour. men women and children to all be there no matter what time it is. we will all come just to see our Rebbe = our father. as we did not see him for already 19 years!!!!!!!!!!!!
We know and believe that Moshiach is coming and there won’t be another Gimmel Tammuz in Galos! we will all be there thank you very much!

This year on Gimmel Tammuz is the 19th yahrtzeit since the first yahrtziet in 1995.
However it is 20 years since the day of Gimmel Tammuz 1994. Twenty Gimmel Tamuzzes have passed.
Gimmel Tammuz 2013 begins the 20th year.

please consider changing the time
besides the fact that the more people that are there, the stronger the achdus but it is so important for our children to see this and feel the achdus in person AND THEIR MOMMIES TOO
it is not right that it is being done at a time that will exclude us
1) It makes more sense that this should be done NEXT YEAR – when it’s 20 years, not this year.
2) The time of 8:30-9:30 is NOT a good time. Maariv time is smack in the middle and will mess things up.

This event is not only for crown heights rather is for all man women and children all over the world that are coming in for Gimmel Tammuz all schools Yeshivos…. (Not putting down crown heights just picking up all other people)
I think it is just amazing to see this happening once again!
I think and believe that a day like Gimmel Tammuuz every man women and child feels the responsibility to attend and to bring his family and friends let us all try to do so. That we can once and for all be together with our Rebbe!
I admit that I do not live in CH but I think it would be great to celebrate our mentor & teacher by hearing from some his many holy students.

Firstly, this sounds like it’s meant to be to promote achdus and you two seem to want the opposite, so maybe it’s a good idea that you don’t attend, as you might be swayed to have some ahavas chinam which would make you unhappy. but then again if you do attend #6 might like carrying a flag with a swastika better….. that’s full of HATE! and number 14 you might have forgotten that the Rebbe didn’t stop hocking about Moshiach!
