How does a Lubavitcher woman in the 21st century celebrate Rebbetzin Chana’s birthday?
This year, Chof Ches Teves, they can participate in an evening benefitting the women who study at the institution named for Rebbetzin Chana-Machon Chana. Machon Chana educates the Jewish women of today as they rediscover their heritage.
Monday night, the eve of 28 Teves/December 30, at 8:00 p.m. is the birthday event. The Machon Chana dorm– the place the Rebbe visited a number of times and said his mother’s presence is always there – is the venue for the celebration. The evening includes a nine-prize Chinese Auction (view prizes at www.MCAuction.org or at the program) , divrei Torah from Rabbi Shloma Majeski, and guest speaker Timmy Rubin (Melbourne, Australia) who will regale the audience with the inspiring, laugh-out loud journey of a Machon Chana graduate.
The Rebbe gave his Bracha to “All those who were involved with, or will be involved with – in body, money and their mouths by encouraging another to be involved” [with Machon Chana].
Admission is $18 and includes a complimentary ticket.
If you can’t make it to the event, please participate generously at www.mcauction.org
Rabbi Majesky and his staff are truly incredible people. The greatest maaleh he and they have is something kinda rare today: emsdikait. May they go from strength to strength! I just purchased the $136 package. Go and buy tickets!

But then there are reminders that truth still exists and that there are brave soldiers giving themselves entirely to the battle for goodness. Mrs. Spritzer, your sincerity, generous love, and drive to reveal the goodness in others and in the world is so refreshing and inspiring. You have an emesdik desire to revolutionize this world into a garden for Hashem. Thank you. May we be dancing together in Yerushalayim celebrating the… Read more »

Hats off to Chaya Wilmowsky for all her hardwork as well
You and your staff, were so kind to me. I knew nothing, but I knew I was a Jew. And you saved me. And I married jewish, and kept. Thanks to you, three more worlds have come into this world, because of your kindness. I was the girl who wanted to become a reform rabbi. With my sincere gratitude, for you surely see our strength, the guts we have to break away from all that we know, from the so called normal world, of anything goes, you and your staff, you appreciate how this can be psychologically very painful. Thank… Read more »

He is the only one in crown heights that still keeps in touch with baalei teshuva. He is a tzadik and someone everyone looks up to. Keep up the great work.
