Chabad of South Florida’s Chanukah On Ice was attended by a full house on this first eve of Chanukah, Tuesday, Dec. 20. The event was coordinated by Chabad of Florida at the request of the the Florida Panthers Ice Hockey team.
Prior to the Cats-Coyotes game, an ice Menorah was lit on the ice at the Bank Atlantic Center. Throughout the event players wished all a Chanukah.
During and after the game glatt Kosher food was offered for the attendees.
Pre-game festivities included giving away Panthers yarmulkes, t-shirts, thundersticks and more.
The National anthem and a post-game concert featured the hottest new group in Jewish music, the Maccabeats.
The event spread the light and warmth of Chanukah to the thousands of locals and tourists at the event.
