Last week all of the Shluchim on Long Island gathered for their annual Kinus and Farbrengen. This year it was hosted at the Chabad of Mineola with Rabbi Anchelle Perl.
Highlighting the event was the announcement by the head Shliach, Rabbi Tuvia Teldon of the opening of the Chabad of Massapequa-Babylon Branch, under the leadership of new Shluchim Rabbi and Mrs. Yona Eidelkopf.
“While most organizations have gone into hibernation due to the tough economy, Chabad continues to expand and broaden its activities across Long Island,” said Rabbi Teldon.
An amazing Farbrengen was led by Rabbi Yossi Paltiel, following an in-depth seminar with Rabbi Zalman Leib Markowitz on the chinuch of children.
An election was held for the local Long Island Vaad of Shluchim with words of greeting presented by Rabbi Pesach Goldman and the Siyum Hashas with Rabbi Zalman Wolowik of the 5 Towns.
The arrangements committee was led by Rabbi Ilan Weinberg of Port Washington, Rabbi Meir Geisinsky of the 5 Towns and Rabbi Eli Goodman of Long Beach.
