Rabbi Hecht was one of the Shluchim sent by the Friediker Rebbe to Poland to establish a yeshiva there. He was a Rabbi in the Sephardic community for decades. He met with Presidents, Senators and a long list of dignitaries. He was President of the Iggud Harabbonim. Despite his immense power in the frum and secular world, he was a humble devoted Chassid of the Friediker Rebbe and the Hayntiker Rebbe. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, greatgrandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle to his family.
