The Chabad Israeli Center in San Carlos de Bariloche, commonly known as Bariloche, a prime all-season destination in Argentina, will host the largest Pesach Seder in the Americas.
Lubavitch bochurim sent to the city surrounded by lakes and mountains told COLlive.com they have been busy preparing the food for the Seder with the help of Israeli backpackers.
Directed by Rabbi Boaz Klein and his wife Fradi, they are expecting some 1000 Jews and Israelis at the Seder tonight, Monday.
“It will be the largest in the North America and South America,” one of them told us.
They thanked Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch and Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt, Head Shliach of Argentina, for their financial help.
Bochurim Mendy Freedman, Yechiel Kalmenson and Chaim Serchuk were sent from New York by Merkos and two additional bochurim from the Buenos Aires Chabad Yeshiva Yoni Edrey and Chaim Ginsburg.
I have been to many Pesach shiurim where garlic has been spoken about. In years gone by people did not use garlic because as they grew they were often fed with beer for a better crop. Now this is not the way farmers do it any more so technically you can have garlic. The question arises as to whether one’s custom of not having should now be broken?
yay! chaim tzvi and yoni! kewl stuff!
funny to see all these bochurim, peeling away with all their heart and soul cuz its shlichus of course, how many of them help out so wholeheartedly at their own homes??!!!
Come on boys!! I know you have it in you, the proof is right here, go peel a bag of potatoes for your mother now!!
If anyone wants to help shluchim that do everything with their hearts wide open, these are the shluchim to help. They are amazing ppl who open their hearts to ANYONE that comes their way. They do it all while putting their own needs aside. I had the honor to spend some time with them this past summer. It’s amazing what they do!!!! Boaz and Frady, keep up the great work!!!!
