As the Rebbe’s birthday approaches, the students of Lanaar School in Miami, Florida, are immersed in extra learning and preparation.
Each day begins with the posting of the Hayom Yom and an intriguing Inyanei Mashiach/Geulah idea, accompanied by a thought-provoking question.
Even before stepping into their classrooms, the children eagerly gather around the wall where the Hayom Yom and Moshiach concepts are displayed, ready to learn the new information, answer the questions, and be entered into a daily raffle.
As a birthday gift to the Rebbe, the students are enthusiastically participating in a challenge to memorize as much Tanya and Mishnayos Baal Peh as possible. Our 175 students are aiming for the ambitious goal of reaching 16,750 lines of Tanya before Yud Alef Nissan.
“It is truly heartwarming to witness the dedication and passion our students have for Torah learning,” said Rabbi Matisyahu Devlin, Mashpia at Lanaar School. “Their eagerness to learn and grow is beautiful to watch. Children are using their recess to learn extra lines in Tanya.”
In addition, under the guidance of Mrs Brocha Shechter, the children have been collecting Money for Maos Chitim. They brought in pesach necessities for the Kosher Food Bank to be distributed to the local Jewish Community. Fostering kindness and middos tovos is at the core of our school’s mission and under the guidance of our Heads of School, Mrs. Shani Biton and Dr. Monica Wagenberg, it influences every aspect of our work and commitment.
