LA Seminary Finds Location

After months of searching for a suitable building for Ohel Sara’s founding year, the administration has announced that it has come to an agreement with Young Israel of Los Angeles, to lease their property.

Young Israel, an established, long- time shul, offers ample space to include classrooms, offices, a kitchen and a dining room. As an enclosed building, it’s a secure and quiet place for the girls to focus on their learning and growth.

Mr. Joe Mizrahi, the shul’s president, is delighted about having Ohel Sara lease their first space from the shul. He has expressed his deep and heartfelt sentiments that it’s a privilege and a zechus to join in this partnership because of the seminary’s namesake, Rebbetzin Schochet.

With so many quality applications received, they are happy to share that they are in the process of finalizing the two “shluchos”, who will help create a chassidishe atmosphere for the girls and coordinate programs, trips, shabbatons and more.

Having received continuous great feedback about the phenomenal faculty, the seminary is thrilled to announce that they have finalized their exciting evening workshops as well. Their superb instructors include Rabbi Shlome Bistritsky, Chabad Shliach in Agoura, Rabbi Mendy Greenbaum-principal of Cheder Menachem, Rabbi Shimon Raichik-Rav of Anash Los Angeles, Mrs. Elky Einhorn-noted educator and daughter of known philanthropist Mr. Barry Weiss, Mrs. Debbie Gordon, shlucha of the Valley, Mrs. Geula Newman-shlucha of Beverlywood and director of The Garden School, Mrs. Ruchie Stillman– longtime shlucha and educator in Los Angeles, Rabbi Avrohom Union, director of RCC, noted Rav and educator and Mrs. Devora Zhuetlin, a popular school psychologist.
