Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his security cabinet approved the Egyptian brokered ceasefire to end the recent battle with Arab terror groups in the Gaza Strip.
The decision was reached after a 3-hour discussion with security personnel that will end the 11 days of fighting which cost the lives of 12 Israelis.
In an online poll posted on Telegram by journalist Amit Segal, people were asked for their opinion on the ceasefire. Over 20,000 people answered with 69% against and 31% in favor of it.
An Israeli official told the Ynet news website that Israel’s achievements were “unprecedented” with the bombing of the ‘Metro’ terror tunnel network, key buildings and assassinating the senior command of Hamas.
Many Israeli citizens – Jews, Muslims, Christians and Druze – were forced to lived in bomb shelters as Hamas fired hundreds of rockets with the intent of killing civilians. The Iron Dome defense system intercepted most of them.
A member of the Hamas terror group that controls Gaza told Reuters news that it and Israel will enter a “mutual and simultaneous” truce at 2:00 AM on Friday.
A short while after the announcement, the IDF reported: “Sirens sounding in southern Israel” alerting to another rocket attack.

Regarding the truce, it is a temporary coverup, as the wound still festers. The Rebbe said that if a doctor leaves a surgical operation unfinished because the patient cries that it hurts, then the doctor is irresponsible. The wound is still there and will grow larger, and will be more difficult to remove.

Does cease fire mean that Israel ceases (to exist) and Hamas fires?
According to a hamas spokesperson israel gave in to hamas demands concerning har habayit and sheik jarah(shimon hatzadik). Now hamas can order israel around concerning jews access to har habayit, and can stop jews claiming land jews own since before 1948 in the area of shimon hatzadik. This is what the war started over. So hamas has won it all. This all has encouraged hamas in the diamond district and other places in manhattan to hunt and beat up jews
Israel has the power, and they destroyed so many terrorists already!! Why don’t they just continue? History has shown us that every time Israel stops, the terrorists rebuild and rearm. There has to be an attempt to kill all the terrorists NOW!!!
