The Hatzalah volunteer medical organization of Staten Island held a its annual “Fun-Raiser” event this past Sunday, September 18 in conjunction with Maimonides Medical Center.
Ironically, Jewish singer Dovid Gabay has sprained his ankle not long before the concert which he was scheduled to entertain along with Uncle Moishy.
Covering for him was Benny Friedman who drove in from Crown Heights and dedicated “LeGabay,” Dovid Gabay’s signature song, in his honor.
Benny wished his colleague and all the Jewish people which Hatzalah assists, a speedy recovery.
The event featured exciting raffles, all you can eat BBQ, super rides and a dunk tank and was a success with all proceeds going to the Hatzalah of Staten Island.

someone who knows gabay personaly, he is an amazing singer with an amazing voice if they didnt think he was good they wouldnt have called him in the first place the fact that they called him proves he is amazing never said benny wasnt just saying that you shouldnt say not nice things escacilly when the person didint come for a reasom of being injured if you dont want bad things to happen to you and you want a good year before rosh hashana and yom kippur take upon your selves to only talk nice about ppl and be nice… Read more »
to #5 he didnt say anything even remotely hinting that it is ok that gabay is hurt, i agree with him cuz my heart stopped for a second being a personal friend of benny’s and seeing a headline like that right above his photo.
think next time before you start berating people for things they did not say or do. and if you ask me, i’d say someone owes an apology.
