sorry but this is absolutely not affordable and is not benefitting the crown heights community as there are only 1 nedroom and studios available. Most familys in crown heights need more then a 1 bedroom apartment
There is nothing affordable about this housing.
This is a deal? Himmel-Geshrei…
The rent is expensive
the rent is too damn high!
The kitchen/dining/living room keeps getting smaller and smaller. That looks more like a hallway than 3 rooms put together into one!
So they’ll call the cops for you? What exactly is the purpose of a virtual doorman?
Is that supposed to be considered affordable housing? What kind of BS is that? And which frum couple wants to live in a studio apartment? Please stop pretending to help the community. Everyone sees through your garbage?
Makes me laugh all these complaints about the rent. Crown heights is a very sought after area close to metro etc. if the rent doesn’t work for you that’s fine! But why the complaining??
The pricing for the space is completely outrageous.
This is the Rebbes Shchuna, and this skyrocketing situation with no place for families is just ruining all that we Lubavitchers worked sooo hard to create! It’s just going to get much worse if leaders in the community don’t put they’re foot down! Enough is Enough! Make real affordable housing for our own!!
Rip off
Another building built by satmars in Crown Heights except this one is in the outskirts on Lefferts and Nostrand. Hoping they can get Jews in this pathetic apartments to win the raffle instead of the other option. All for them to get the city tax abatement. Build for Jews and we will happily and gladly come. What about the buildings in the center of town going to Yuppies. Yes the yuppies are coming back to town since Corona but they aint the same caliber as before. Blue hair and nearly homeless looking. Rebbe watch over your neighborhood.
Moving in here, enjoying the safety of our streets and being the most arrogant, angry, bigoted and anti social people out there. Their social media sites told them religious Jews are ‘bad’ and they just can’t think for themselves. No good neighbors among them.
this is worse than useless. i don’t know who owns these apartments but they are the ones who are actually benefiting from all of this “affordable” hype. how dumb do they think we are? of course if you have no jewish expenses ( Kosher food, tzedakah, hachnossas orchim, perhaps baby expenses, let alone Shabbosim and Yomim tovim, and your total annual charitable donations amount to a couple of hundred dollars to your favorite animal shelter and such, you can probably afford this. If this money is going to frum landlords, thanks for nothing. maybe you should start thinking about tshuvah… Read more »
It may not be that affordable but at least it won’t deteriorate the neighborhood further…
The only apts for us are mostly condos & way overpriced any rentals within the neighborhood that are built with lotteries although technically we can apply but are never c.Anything converted for us in rentals are cheaply done.I recently did a small job in a building on Empire and Albany They purchased standard apt cabinets including for 2 separate sinks. However they were very cheap Under the sink They didn’t put in separate water lines for each sink The handyman or supt that installed the cabinets badly cut the cabinets wrong never properly closed teh wall in back of the sink.Took… Read more »
And advertised as a special lottery? This must be some kind of a joke. I assure you that after the 3 months free rent, realty WILL set in. And presumably the rent goes up after the 1 or two year lease. This is almost as bad as the properties that were leased out to the city to bring in the drug shelters. We are living on miracles here.
Notice only 1 sink in the kitchen.
Developers cmae here but didnt develope anything that Jewish Family can benifit from. CH vote for rezonning and got this single and stuido appartemnts as a ” present”.
Wake up, all our Youth is relocating who will live here?
