Rabbi Berel Mochkin, Director of Chabad Lubavitch Youth Organization of Montreal and a senior Mashpia in the Canadian city, marked his 75th birthday with a chassidic farbrengen Tuesday night.
Chabad Shluchim from around the province of Quebec gathered in the home of his son, Rabbi Yisroel Mochkin, Director of Camp Gan Israel of Montreal and a Shliach of Mont Tremblant.
The Head Shliach’s eldest son, Rabbi Dovid Aba Mochkin, Program Director of the Kessler Family Chabad Center in Rochester, NY, drove in to attend the evening.
Young and old were seated in unison as Rabbi Berel Mochkin spoke about Hiskashrus and dedication to the Rebbe that is needed from a Shliach, in addition to the great merit and responsibility of being on Shlichus.
Participants sat until 3:00 AM, conversing and hearing some personal exchanges Rabbi Mochkin has with the Rebbe over the years, starting from his youth.
His father was the known chossid and mashpia Reb Peretz Mochkin OBM.

It was a really nice Farbrengen,
Rabbi Mockin Farbrenged with the Shluchim till the early hours of the morning, Shluchim from the entire city and further attended.
May he continue to lead the Shluchim in Quebec till 120 with Health and Happiness from his family and extended family the Shluchim.
