A minivan driver was caught on camera backing up into five pedestrians in Brooklyn and then speeding off — only to be nabbed a day later when a neighborhood watch group spotted his vehicle, the NY Daily News reported.
Surveillance video shows the minivan, parked at Wythe and Rutledge Aves. in Williamsburg, backing up into a group of visibly Chasidic men standing on the street corner, even though there are no cars parked in front of it.
The car is seen striking the victims, who fall to the ground, about 10:15 p.m. on Motzei Shabbos.
The driver initially remained at the scene, with at least one witness motioning to him, but then drove off, police said.
The victims, all male relatives and ranging in age from 11 to 82, suffered minor injuries. Only the oldest, who hurt his foot, required medical attention at NYU Langone Health – Cobble Hill.
On Sunday, members of Shomrim, a volunteer neighborhood patrol, saw the minivan parked on Franklin Ave. near Park Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant and called the police.
Shokhobiddin Bakhritdinov, 26, was arrested a short time later for the crime, the NY Daily News reported.
Bakhritdinov was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

Bakhritdinov is a name from Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan is 88% Muslim.
How about ‘intentional assault with a vehicle’? So it was an honest mistake was it?Not buying it that he didn’t see Five men talking together. That’s the police in NY. It’s up to us to see to it that justice is done and he is penalized to the fullest extent of the law so that more idiots like him don’t think Jewish blood is cheap.
This isn’t just happening “over there” in some other area…this happened as well on crown and Schenectady – a black male did a hit and run (flying through 2 red lights to get away).
That’s how crimes are treated here.
Why did he even have access to a vehicle?? Who licensed him?
