A fire broke out Tuesday morning in a 4 story apartment building on New York Avenue in Crown Heights.
Neighbors reported seeing flames and smoke billowing from the 3rd and 4th floors of the building at 319 New York Avenue at approximately 7:45 am.
Bystanders said it seemed all the residents escaped unharmed.
FDNY closed the street to traffic, causing delays on other avenues during morning rush hour.
Firefighters quickly put out the flames, and the traffic was reopened about an hour later.
