Over 4,000 people gathered for a Chanukah celebration overlooking Sydney Harbor.
In beautiful weather, participants enjoyed carnival rides, a delicious barbecue, BMX stunt show, street dancers and other activities.
The third candle was lit by dignitaries and government officials, finishing with a grand fireworks show.
The event was coordinated by Chabad Double Bay Shluchim Rabbi Yanky and Leah Berger.
The annual celebration brings a sense of community evident in the some 50 volunteers that help coordinate the event, with assistance of Chabad Double Bay general manager Ester Alleck. The bochurim were also thanked for their tireless work.
Participants were thrilled with the event, as one attendee told organizers, “My family and I look forward to this event every year as Chanukah approaches, and it gets bigger and better every year”
