Discovered at the age of 11 when he was chosen to share a stage with Mordechai Ben David, Argentinian Lubavitcher Choni Grunblatt has been performing worldwide for 17 years, singing with Jewish music notables, including Avraham Fried, Yoel Sharabi and Yehuda.
The highest vote getter in the debut Season One of A Jewish Star international singing competition, singing an original composition titled Yismechu, Choni has devoted years to vocal training and his magnificent tenor voice lends itself to powerful, sweeping songs.
His long awaited, newly released single, Lecha Anu Shirah, is no exception. An original composition, it pairs his majestic voice with powerful lyrics and is hopefully the first of many singles to be released by this promising talent from Buenos Aires.
“This new song will take you on a journey to that special and powerful moment in our history, Krias Yam Suf,” Grunblatt said.
“The composition, its melody and arrangements, is the very event relived and as I sing, I imagine how I myself would have felt crossing the Yam Suf and witnessing Hashem’s greatness. This song conveys the impact of that moment for me: From initial uncertainty to discovery, greatness, power and, ultimately, the exultant celebration of Hashem’s kingdom.”
A self professed perfectionist with an eye for detail, Grunblatt was intimately involved in the arrangement of this song and he hopes that listeners everywhere will feel the beauty of its sound pulsing through their veins.
“This is a gift I received from Above, and the time has come for me to share it with you on a larger scale. Join me on this new journey, and enjoy my music to the fullest, just as it was made,” he says.
The song was composed by Grunblatt, arranged and produced by Guillermo De medio.
Dany Avila on the drums, bass by Charlie Giardina, guitars by Ariel Vergara, piano by De medio who also did the keyboards and programming. Mixing and Mastering was done in La Nave Studios by Sebastian Manta and De medio.
In the music video directed by Tobias Haimovich, Grunblatt bares a close resemblance to the veteran singer and entertainer Dudu Fischer.

Wow! Great voice, great song. I love the fact that he is not typical and copying everything already out there! Would love to see him in concert!
Why he’s coming ro Toronto??? He should make a concert
rly very very beautiful!! 🙂 stunning voice – sturdy and clear, he can carry a very good steady tune!!! kol hakovod.
Seriously? Just because you are a musician and composer means you can talk for everyone? Just because you don’t necessarily like him or think he is good means he is not? As far as I recall, 2 out of 3 of the judges on a jewish star were amazed by him. There have been contestants on all the non jewish singing competitions that have been rejected 1 year and came back to go very far. You say the judges were not amazed and neither were we. Who are the we you are talking about? You and…EVERYONE? I love how you… Read more »
Amazing singer! Awesome voice!
you write: “The highest vote getter in the debut Season One of A Jewish Star international singing competition, singing an original composition titled Yismechu”.
Crrection:
Yismechu is not his original composition. an old Chabad nigun. the words were added a long time ago.
Listening again and again keep it up choni!
Seriously? Just because he/she doesn’t like the style or CD ? I personally don’t either. I don’t find him anything special. If he was THAT amazing….than the CD would talk for itself… c’mon…singing with Mordechai ben david when he was a kid…doesn’t make him talented. It means he can keep a tune and has a nice voice. If he was so awesome and amazing – the judges on a jewish star would have been amazed. They were not and neither are we. We wish him much hatzlocha…but there’s nothing special about his voice, style, genre or anything that he did.… Read more »

Missing you, Esther and the kids in CH 🙂
Love, Zalman & Liba (and the girls!)
Beautiful talent! But the song and words sadly do not match the hairstyle and beard. That makes the video distracting.
Love the song. Original composition sung like it should be! Waiting for the release of your first album.

Was thinking the same thing.
No, his mother’s name is Rivka.
i was not expecting that. beautifully sung and original.
best of luck in the future.
little guy, big voice!
wow, i love how classy this video is.
i’m so glad it doesn’t have an attention-seeking secular vibe to it. not to mention that i love the voice and how beautiful those high notes sound…thank you!
No Rivka,s son
a person who has any sort of genuine appreciation for music can appreciate it for the elegant piece that it is.
the fact that you cannot appreciate it shows your lack of touch with music and a jealousy towards successful people. wishing you hatzlachah and a speedy recovery
No. He is Noson & Rivkah’s (Levin) son
You have an incredible voice!!
Hatzlocho!
Gershon Shapiro
He is not
He is rivka’s son
Nisht Poshut…. is this Shterna’s son?
must say thats nice
correction he sounds more like shlomo simcha
great song
Creativity. Originality. Style. genre. Something new that we havnt heard yet.
Its missing all of the above.
True, he is a good vocalist…but he’s no artist, and neither is he a musician. Jewish music seriously needs some originality and creativity. much of that is lacking today.
is a levin family niggun
little resemblance..
beautiful song, great voice!

i agree that he should have won last years jewish star!!!
Beautiful voice, song and video
