Camp and Learning in Costa Rica

Whoever said you’re too old to be a Masmid in a Yeshiva Kayitz, may want to think again!

Yeshivas Kayitz Costa Rica, under the auspices of the Head Shliach to Costa Rica Rabbi Hershel Spalter, and directed by Moshe Minsky and Tzali Wilschanski, recently completed its successful summer camp program.

The camp, now in its second summer, is a yeshivas kayitz for Shiur Bais/Gimmel Mesivta Bochrim. A group of 42 bochurim and 11 dedicated staff enjoyed a full program of learning and adventure in beautiful Costa Rica.

Learning Director Nissi Eber headed an amazing learning program, with Chassidishe farbrengens giving the Bochurim a “Geshmak” in learning together with learning teachers Yuda Slonim, Ari Nemes and Zalmy Simpson. Working their way through Mesechta Taanis, including a Mivtza Torah to finish a quota of six blatt gmarah bal peh, which 36 bochurim completed.

The learning was in memory of the camp’s Learning Director from last summer, Yossi Kreiman obm.

A four star chef and baker provided kosher gourmet food, par excellence.

Programs were arranged by counselors and staff- Moishe Lifshitz, Moishe Wilschanski, Zalmy Lipinsky, Simcha Begun and Mendy Gniwisch, who put together trips like world class level 4 rafting, visiting the beautiful Volcano Arenal in La Fortuna, Zip-lining and a 100f Tarzan fly, caving with bats, scuba diving, surfing, paintball shooting, visiting hot springs and more.
