Birchas Hachama on the Coast

Over 40 people joined The Center for Judaism on the northwest coast of the Pacific Ocean (White Rock Beach) for a Birchas Hachama ceremony led by Rabbi Falik Schtroks. Community members braved the strong winds and came out to the beach for this special Bracha. Photos

This is White Rock (named after the white rock in the group photo), British Columbia Canada, about 35 miles south of Vancouver, BC, and not too far from the US boarder (state of WA). This is one of the number of beaches in the area. The mountains–esp. Mount Baker–were not too visible on that day.
