Bais Menachem and the Wilkes-Barre / Kingston community in Pennsylvania joined together this year to make a spectacular Lag BaOmer Parade and Carnival, which drew hundreds from the immediate and surrounding areas.
Students of Bais Menachem built a huge heart, with hand-painted banners extolling good virtues, on a flatbed truck, which was accompanied by the students’ own live band.
In the following procession were dozens of cars, children marching with banners, and emergency vehicles.
When the parade reached the park, many more families joined, some coming from Clarks Summit and Scranton, and others as far as New York City, to take part in a grand BBQ, kiddie rides, carnival games, and a performance by “America’s Got Talent” contestant David Darwin.
