An open letter to my dear students at Chabad Girls Academy,
I am so proud of you all. Our goal this year was to give each one of you the confidence you need to live your lives with purpose and meaning. It was a successful year at that end, and we saw this firsthand at last week’s award ceremony for the 5th through 8th grade.
Each of you received a personal award in Middos Tovos, Derech Eretz, general academics, and your Avodah in Tefillah with kavana. You are quite the accomplished bunch! It was so gratifying to see how many of you received Honor Roll awards as well. You worked hard through the year to reach those top academic achievements.
Listening to the musical nigunim presentations by students from music class gave me tremendous nachas as well. The guitar ukulele, keyboard, and percussions accompanied by singing was beautiful. You worked hard on reading notes, keeping the beat, and working together to stay in harmony. The result was so enjoyable to listen to.
Watching the fifth and sixth grade ju-jitsu performance was so strengthening! You now have skills that build confidence and keep you safe in uncomfortable situations. This translates into all areas of our lives, as strengthening our physical and emotional selves helps us become independent, strong thinkers who show a deeper understanding of our role in this world.
The award ceremony was followed by our seventh annual eight grade graduation! Kol Shvi’in Chavivin – this group in our seventh year was truly a special one.
The afternoon began with the reading of the Rebbe’s Kapital by two of our graduates. Mrs. Yael Rosenberger, service coordinator and teacher, welcomed everyone and introduced each of you as you presented your Divrei Torah based on the Hayom Yom of your birthdate. Your words were very moving, drawing inspiration from the Hayom Yom and bringing a lesson to your daily life. What a special way to celebrate each one of you!
The light brunch served was delicious and the art exhibit of your gorgeous pieces created throughout the year in art class was a real visual treat.
One of my favorite parts of the celebration was our guest speaker, teacher Rabbi YY Greenberg. His Rebbe stories showed how the Rebbe gave teens care and love to bring them a feeling of security and significance in the world. It was truly inspiring.
I hope you leave CGA with strength and inspiration towards the wonderous world ahead of you. Each one of you has a unique role and the tremendous power to carry it out. When we all fulfill our roles and unite, the world can become Hashem’s home where his presence is welcome.
May we all merit to greet Moshiach immediately now! Mazel Tov!
Have a safe and meaningful summer,
Mrs. Devorah Leah Kramer, Director
