In this week’s Living Torah, the Rebbe addresses what a teacher’s responsibility really is.
Every child is different; while some students respond to discipline, others need more tender care. Examining the specific needs of each individual child is the core responsibility of an educator.
Ultimately, investing greater care to each child will not subtract from the amount of students you will manage to impact, on the contrary, it will allow you to achieve even greater success with even more children.
How appropriate that it was sponsored in the Zechus of Rebbetzin Fradkin who has always put such an emphasis on Chinuch in SD.
Listen to the child & the parents with an open enough mind to understand their concerns. And parents, listen to the teacher’s concerns with an open enough mind to understand the teacher’s concerns and have your child tested by an outside party, if necessary, & get the results on paper to bring to the teacher. Teachers: please educate yourself on learning disabilities. There is more than ADHD & dylexia. There are non-apparent disabilities too than even a Shaarim teacher misses!
and BH BH BH Bais Rivka teachers have ALWAYS gone above and beyond and fulfilled their responsibilities and much much more. ASHREINU!!!!!!!!!!!
We are all teachers in one way or another, but school teachers have a special merit and honor to help shape young neshamas more than most. The Rebbe is Emes! Thanks for the video.
